Here at Chrysalis Dental Center, Dr. Minesh Patel Bedford specializes in dental hygiene checkups and treatments. Dental hygiene treatment is delivered by a dental hygienist who will help to remove any plaque from your teeth that may have built up in certain areas. The dental hygienist’s main role is to prevent gum disease by professionally cleaning your teeth, a process called scaling and polishing. They carefully remove any build-up of plaque or hard deposits of calculus (tartar) below and above the gum using manual or ultrasonic instruments.

Dr Patel has been awarded as course director for Implantology at Warwick University. He is also the Surgical Module lead for Block grafting, Sinus grafting and Soft Tissue grafting for the Masters students. He is an examiner for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal college of General Dental Practitioners, Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has also attended advanced courses in Reconstructive Dentistry, Crown and Bridgework, Endodontic Treatment and Outside the practice Dr Patel plays competitive league cricket and tennis. He also enjoys snowboarding, salsa dancing and travelling.

After completing residency in 2013, he went on to complete his fellowship at the M D Anderson Orlando where he served as chief fellow and coauthored numerous publications in scientific journals, abstracts, and poster presentations. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and American Medical Association. He is married and enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. During his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling, cooking, and sports, especially college football. Dr. Patel is also fluent in Hindi and Gujarati. Dr Minesh always takes into account the patient’s age of current health, he is always respectable to elderly patients.
